We now carry Engineer Grade Type 1 Reflective Tape in a Fluorescent Lime. Lime and Red rolls of this material are often used to create chevron striping on fire trucks and fire apparatus as well as chevron stripes on utility vehicles, vans, emergency vehicles, tow trucks, emergency roadside service vehicles, and much more. The red and lime together create the highest contrast and highest visibility stripes. Clearly visible both day and night, hence lowering the risk of rear-end collisions. Black reflective tape provides an excellent way to mark black gates and fences in a way that hides the tape during the day and makes the fence or gate highly visible at night under car headlights. We have a standard black engineer grade available at www.tapedealer.com, however, for brighter black tape you can also go to www.tapefinder.com and take a look at our special black reflective tape category that features three types and brightnesses of black engineer grade reflective tape. I recommend the 5650 Rapid Air product by Oralite. It is the easiest to install and also the brightest black reflective on the market. The little bit of extra money you spend on the Oralite Black 5650 Rapid Air will be worth it in increased visibility for your gate.
One of the unique properties of our Flexible Engineer Grade reflective tape is its ability to stretch, especially when heated. This extreme conformability makes it possible to use flexible engineer grade tape on more surfaces. Uneven surfaces, compound curves, ridges and more are often not a problem with Flexible Engineer Grade Type 1 reflective by Nikkalite. Using a hair dryer as you apply allows you to control the conformability of the tape and stretch only where needed. For pricing and more information on this tape go to www.tapedealer.com
Our Flexible Engineer Grade Type 1 reflective tapes are self adhesive, meaning they have an adhesive backing protect by a release liner. To apply, simply peel off the backing, apply, and press on with a soft cloth or squeegee. These tapes adhere very well and stay on for a long time.
